In the 18th century, Claire meets Jamie Fraser (played by Sam Heughan), a young Scottish warrior who is fighting for the Jacobite cause. Despite being married to Frank in the present, Claire finds herself drawn to Jamie and becomes embroiled in the Jacobite conflict. Throughout the season, Claire must navigate her feelings for Jamie and Frank, all while trying to find a way back to her own time.
